Conference Information

Abstract Submission & Deadlines

The presenting author must register for the congress and pay the registration fee when submitting the abstract. A Jury will evaluate the submitted abstracts. In case of acceptance, the committee will decide upon the form of presentation (poster or oral).
Presenting authors will be notified by e-mail (or regular mail for those without an electronic address).

The deadline for submission of abstracts for all presentation modes is June 15, 2008.

Poster Information
Sufficient space will be provided for all the posters to be displayed for the entire meeting. The maximum poster size is 90 cm (width) and 130 (height).
The posters will be mounted with tape. Tape will be provided in the conference office.

Final Program
The final program will be available at the meeting and on our website at the beginning of July 2008.

Technical Equipment
Beamers and overhead projectors are available. Speakers are required to bring their presentation on a Windows or Macintosh-readable CD-ROM or USB-stick. The use of personal laptops will not be allowed. No slide projection will be provided.

1) Only for Part 2: For organizational reasons it is not possible to book hotel accommodation on your own.

Registration for Part 2 is not possible without registration for Part 1 of the conference.
3) Confirmation letter from your institution on official letterhead about student status, signed by your advisor, is required. Please send by fax or postal mail.
4) Registration fee does not include participation in any sessions or lectures.


Late Registration

You may still register after June 15, 2008 - including on-site registration at the conference - provided the maximal number of participants has not been exceeded and provided that you pay the late registration fee. The fees above are valid until June 15, 2008. If you register after that date, the registration fee will increase by 50,00 € for members, non-members and students. Once again the fee will increase by 100,00 € on the first conference day (on-site registration). 

Registration Benefits
Part 1: The registration fee for delegates4) registration fee does not include participation in any sessions or lectures. includes all conference materials, the final program and abstract booklet and the admission to all conference sessions as well as the Get-together, daily tea / coffee and lunch, the conference gala dinner and a boat tour at the river Neckar or a guided tour through the city of Heidelberg.
Part 2:
The registration fee for delegates4) registration fee does not include participation in any sessions or lectures. includes the transfer from Heidelberg to Guben and from Guben to Berlin by coach, entrance to the exhibition as well as coffee / tea break and lunch in Guben.

4) Only Accompanying Person: Registration fee does not include participation in any sessions or lectures.

Badges
Each delegate will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons all delegates are requested to wear their badge during all the conference activities and social events. The cost for replacing a lost badge is 2,00 €.

Visa
We recommend all delegates to check the visa agreement of Germany with the respective country of origin. Delegates may wish to contact the German embassy in their respective countries. (Visit www.auswaertiges-amt.de for more information)

Official Letter of Invitation
The official Letter of Invitation will be sent by the conference organizer upon request. This invitation does not imply any financial obligation of the conference organization.
